EquityCompass Strategies Research
EquityCompass Strategies provide a research product that includes stock opinions on 3,000 stocks. Each month, stock opinions are screened for specific criteria to constitute a list that is published in the Update & Review. The lists that are currently shown include:
- Stifel Research Focus - Stifel Research “Buy” rating plus EquityCompass rating of Redline Low.
- S&P 500 Redline 15 - 15 most favorable Redline Low stocks in the S&P 500 index.
- Quality Contrarian - S&P 500 index stocks plus EquityCompass rating that indicates high quality, Redline Low, value, and out-of-favor attributes.
- Dividend Focus - 20 highest yielding stocks plus favorable EquityCompass Redline Low condition.
- Sweet Spot - 5 stocks from each of the 10 S&P 500 sectors with favorable EquityCompass rating for quality and positive relative strength.
To monitor the performance of the stock selection criteria, we created indices showing the linked, monthly performance of the lists from inception. Information from prior lists is available upon request. Performance of the list with trailing periods (1, 3, 6, 9, and 12 months as well past 2, 3, 4, and 5 years) is also shown in the publication.
EquityCompass Strategies Separate Account Portfolios
S|CORE is a discretionarily managed advisory program that utilizes EquityCompass insights for portfolio management. Portfolios that are sub-advised by EquityCompass Strategies include:
- Research Opportunity Portfolio - Stifel Nicolaus research recommendations and EquityCompass insights (Redline Low) are utilized together in managing a 20-stock portfolio.
- Select Quality - EquityCompass insights are used to manage a portfolio of 30 stocks consistent with balanced sector weightings.
- Quality Dividend - EquityCompass insights are used to manage a portfolio of 25 stocks consistent with higher dividend yields and sector constraints.
- Redline 15 - EquityCompass insights are used to manage a portfolio of 15 stocks from within the S&P 500.
The research product demonstrates a basis for stock selection (i.e., lists). The advisory products utilize EquityCompass insights for stock selection but also incorporate portfolio tactics to help achieve stated objectives.
The Stifel Core Portfolios Program (S|CORE) is a fee-based advisory program that requires a minimum investment amount ranging from $50,000 to $100,000, depending on the portfolio selected. There may be other costs associated with the S|CORE program, including but not limited to: exchange fees, transfer taxes, interest expense, trade surcharges, and closing costs.
